S10 Blazer

S10 Blazer

Postby flatbroke » October 19th, 2011, 9:12 pm

I had a little problem Thursday evening on the way home from work. Traffic was backed up and Iwas driving my Blazer. It is a 2002 that has been lowerd 2 inches, same height as an Extreme Blazer for those of you who are familiar with them. Keep in mind this pic was taken when it was about as dirty as it has been in a long time and early in the moring on Friday. It still has dew on it.

I stopped for the traffic, the red Corvette behind me stopped but the 87 full sized Blazer didn't. He locked up the brakes, changed lanes, missed the Corvette and then punched me in the right rear corner.

What I need from you is to keep an eye out for a replacement Blazer. 2 door 2 wheel drive. I can find them all over Southern Cal but not up here and I don't have time to spend driving down there to look at them. If you see one for sale please let me know.

Thanks Kris, I saw that one too and it is someone we wholesale cars to so I figure I should be able to get a good deal but it doesn't look to good up close. Small scratches all over the place and the lower front bumper/air dam is cracked and the mounts are bent. A factory piece my cost is $400 plus paint but I am still considering it because it is the best I have seen. It is also the only one. There are a couple in L.A. that look nice but to far to drive. And one in Stockton that isn't to bad but they are asking $8000 for a rig with 125K on it.

Actually no I hadn't. Haven't had much time to look but I haven't looked to hard out of my area to far but Dublin is definetly do-able but not someting I can go look after work. But I do like the black Extreme

http://stockton.craigslist.org/ctd/2637106223.html

I checked it out on the GM web site and it was sold new at Performance Chevrolet in Sacramento and has had only 1 warranty repair. That was Fallout Removal at 500 miles on 3/16/02. Tomorrow I will get a CarFax on it.
Thanks for the heads-up.

Man Rod that sucks. Whenever I am in my '97 F-350 I worry about crap like this, there are none out there as clean as mine with 94k on them.
I will pass this along to my son up in Reno and have him keep an eye out, he falls into all kinds of stuff up there since he is all over town day in and day out.
