"Still Gettin Laid Back in NorCal"
After 10 years, this traveling group is still out having fun in the sun from Lake Shasta to the Tower Park Marina in Lodi CA along with many lakes and waterways in between. It's described as a traveling group because they don't have one particular body of water that they meet at.

Just tossing some thoughts out there. I think you might be able to figure out where I'm kind of going with it.

I get what Steve (cas) is saying. We should "claim" a body of water for meets. Guess we will have to pick one out! BUT, I did get out a good laugh with the "getting laid back in norcal"

actually Mike, kind of the opposite. Most all other groups have a specific place they go to all the time where with us, we go all over the place. I'm wondering if PB will do something more on the lines of a few of the places we go to. It's mostly to try and include motorhead ;)

I spoke with the owner of Performance Boat the other day and he said he would be interested in doing another spread on the Tower Park outing or maybe the Shasta trip. In some respects it was kind of cool to read about us in a national print magazine but there were also some not so good things that came with it.
Anyone have any thoughts on having another write-up?

The article was how I found you guys when I was evacuating from Illinois (Chicago).......Many of the group have some great looking boats.......would be fun to see.......what not so good happened? Must be refering to me?

I was looking back through some pics to find Fleet getting towed in to Wimpy's and ran accross this guy. Who remembers him?

You know, Slotracer was right about Tower Park as the best place for the shoot. There will probably be way more members and boats there than at Shasta. Besides, I can only make it out with you guys once in a while anyway. But if PB would want to have some shots from different locations too, that would be great. Shasta does make a beautiful backdrop for photos.
And thank you Cas for thinking about us. Very cool.

Let's invite PB Magazine to "Tower Park 10" What's it take to convince them?

Still Getting Laid Back In Norcal. I like it.

little different program with PB than it was with Hot Boat. They won't send anyone out, they want us to take the pictures and write the article and then they'll have their editors do their thing.

I'm gonna be there if a Magazine shows up or not. But it would be nice to see another write up. If Power Boat isn't interested we might consider asking Classic Boat. Just fill out the info here http://www.classiccustomboats.com/index.php?option=com_facileforms&Itemid=59 Its not PB but still some exposure.

Sounds like the old days! Taking pictures and doing write ups. I better dig out my cameras.

BTW, I like the way my butt looks on pg3 of the write up! :cool1:
