That sounds like a fantastic day at the lake! I've wanted to run against Kris's Tahiti. Very curious to see how well a none sleeved Panther responds to the amount of horsepower Kris is running. It would also be great fun Chev! to run against a little smaller boat with a Panther for comparison. The only thing for the droop exit housing that I can think of is I need to make a steering link and a forward reverse bucket extension as well since both of those items are lower and farther aft then what I have now.

Kris already has the forward/reverse extension that I made for it but I'm not sure where the steering extension is, I had one we used but I don't remember where it is.

Other then waiting for a friend of mine to grab a cavition plate handle out of his v-drive stuff. I should be ready to go out and play a bit on Monday. weather man says its supposed to be nice. but WTH do they know.

First off, WOW! Very nice work 78. Did you pick up any MPH with the mods? You know, there's a lot of people with Panthers that would likely pay handsomely for these mods, you ever think about doing this on the side?

Welcome to the board Lucky! Im not sure how much I gained on top speed yet, as the river was nasty a few weeks ago on my trial run. But it gets up on plane way faster. I'll have a lot more info after my next outing here in a week or two. And about modifying Panther Pumps for other people, I am considering offering this service to other Panther owners. As I dont own a mill, I would only be able to modify Pumps that have allready been modified by Panther, at present. I'll keep you posted as time goes on.

Steve, Congrats.... You did some very nice work..You have my interest up on your nozzle project. I would like to talk to you sometime, I would like to sell your work, If that would be possible. I would like to crunch some numbers. Just a thought. I noticed that it looks as if your flappers have come off of your exhaust outlets, put some salsbury flappers over the bells, you don't want to hydraulic your motor. Jim Performance Jet

Thanks Jim, I ordered another set of the flappers a couple of weeks ago I had been cutting them out of a roll of rubber I had laying around (old tool box top I think) but I had to replace them about once a month. Are their better made ones available? like black silicon ones or something?

I haven't used them for over 5 years now and never had any trouble with water back flow in the motor.
