Use this memory configuration to see if your system is compatible... http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/campaigns/campaigntemplate.asp?CampaignID=576
These came out of a working system. That was running windows Vista and then Windows 7 64 bit flawlessly.
Will run windows XP if your MOBO supports this ramm.
To use DDR2 memory, your system motherboard must have 240-pin DIMM slots and a DDR2-enabled chipset. A DDR2 SDRAM DIMM will not fit into a standard SDRAM DIMM socket or a DDR DIMM socket.
** Running windows XP 32 Bit your System property's will only recognize 3 GB of the 4 even though all 4 will be running, you must upgrade to the 64 bit version of Windows XP for your system to "SEE" more then 3 gb's of ramm (Blame Microsoft).
