1990 Ski Centurion Falcon Bowrider

1990 Ski Centurion Falcon Bowrider

I know this isn't the type of boat most people here are interested in buying but if you know somebody looking for a family boat I've got one for sale. After buying the Eliminator I/O we now have 3 boats and barely enough time to use one. So the "Mini-Van" has to go. $7500 and it will be serviced for the summer this weekend. I have a ritual I go through every spring that keeps it trustworthy for the summer and low maintenance for the long haul. The interior has no tears or even brittle spots, dual batteries with a switch and a pole that attaches to the normal ski tow and hangs off the side for kids to learn to ski or adults to barefoot.

Thanks Cas and as of this morning they got it. I was amazed at the amount of responses I got. Between 15 and 20 people emailed asking questions. About a dozen were seriously interested and 5 said they had money in hand and wanted to see it. They were all quite a ways away, closest was 1 1/2 hour drive so the first person that asked to see it got first shot at it and his wife decided she wanted it 15 minutes after getting there. She crawled inside and started playing with controls and looking over the interior pretty close. She turned to her husband and said I want it and he in turn went to the truck and got the money. Just glad this is over. Plan is to try out the new boat tomorrow.

Smac, after looking back at that incedent I came to the conclusion that the alternator died the summer before. I depend on a "Idiot Light" to monitor the charging and it didn't come on when the wire inside broke. But I noticed that the battery had been weak after sitting for extended time but after charging worked great. I thought the battery was just getting weak or something in the boat was drawing a little power. That trip showed up the problem. Damn cheap used alternators. It only lasted 24 years. Actually probably 23 it just took me till 24 to realize it.
